The crew carried out temporary repairs while the vessel drifted. The vessel then proceeded to Goderich, ON, for permanent repairs.

The "ALGOMA INTREPID" came to rest out of the channel near the IMS slipway. It was refloated and is in Goderich, ON, for further inspection.
