The complex in July 2026
Every tracked quote's move in the newest month all 19 of them share - 7 have since printed a later month, which is not counted here.
Coal (Australian) fell 5% in July, with the board: 11 of 19 fell.
Bars run from the zero rule: left of it a fall, which is cheaper for a buyer, right of it a rise. Moves inside ±0.5% are counted as little changed. “max” marks a quote whose move this month is the most extreme single month in its own 59-month record. A few grades reach this page under two separately compiled quotes and so appear twice; the counts are of quotes, not of grades. Select any row to bring that series onto the canvas above.
The central line is the current price carried forward; at a 3-12 month horizon a monthly price is close to a random walk, so it stays flat unless a model has beaten that naive baseline out-of-sample (then it is marked a modelled path). Shaded bands are the range the price has historically occupied over the same horizon - realised prices can land outside it. 12-month position is the share of the last twelve monthly prints at or below the current one, the same read the command board gives. Shocks are limited to the window drawn above, so an event that predates the chart is not listed. Seasonal, trend and shock figures are descriptive reads of past history, not a forecast, and none of this is investment advice.
