About
The intelligence layer of global shipping.
Global trade is decided on the water long before it reaches a balance sheet. The Maritime is where that water becomes a picture: vessels and ports, cargoes and prices, ownership and risk, fused into one operational view of the world fleet.
The Layer
Not a feed. The layer beneath the decision.
Shipping arrives in fragments: an AIS ping here, a fixture there, a sanctions notice, a price print, a name change on a hull. Every desk on the water runs on the same question, and most of the industry still answers it from scattered screens and half-remembered context.
The Maritime exists to end that fragmentation. We maintain living registers of the world fleet and the companies, ports and markets around it, and fuse them with pricing, voyage analytics and risk screening into a single, continuously updated picture. Not another source to check. The layer every other decision can stand on.
The Picture
What we command.
The commercial fleet and its particulars, ownership and history. The world's ports, their congestion and arrivals. Freight indices, chartering fixtures, sale & purchase, newbuildings, demolitions and bunker prices. Emissions, safety and casualty records. Sanctions exposure and behavioural risk, screened against official lists and observed movement.
Around it runs a newsroom and a maritime reference, so the numbers arrive with the context that makes them mean something.
The Credo
We never blur what's known from what isn't.
The strength of a picture is only ever its discipline. Every figure on the platform is stamped with the date its own data carries, never with today's. Every score, band and behavioural flag is an estimate derived from observed data, labelled as such, never dressed up as a finding. When the evidence commands a call, we make it. When the market itself does not know, we are the first to say so, and the first to know when that changes.
The Desk
Built for the people who decide.
Owners and operators, charterers and brokers, traders, financiers and insurers, analysts and class societies. The desks where the industry is actually decided run on one question: what is happening out there, and who sees it first. For the desks that run on The Maritime, that question is settled.
