The vessel anchored in the Pointe Platon anchorage, the crew carried out repairs, and the vessel resumed its voyage.
On 23 January 2022, the container vessel "MSC DON GIOVANNI", reported being disabled due to a main engine scavenge fire, 31 nautical miles SSE of Port-Menier, QC. The crew were able to extinguish the fire. They carried out repairs and the vessel continued its voyage. No injuries were reported.
