Kamsarmax describes a Panamax-type bulk carrier whose defining constraint is overall length: the longest hull that can berth at the bauxite port of Kamsar in Guinea. Its deadweight sits just above the classic Panamax band.
It sits just above the classic Panamax in the dry-bulk size ladder and is one of the most actively traded bulker classes, carrying grain, coal and bauxite on the major trades.
