On 03 December 2008, the downbound bulk carrier "ZIEMIA LODZKA" missed the approach wall at Iroquois Lock due to high winds. The aft port corner struck the approach wall and minor damage was sustained by the vessel and Seaway wall.
The upbound vessel "ZIEMIA LODZKA" struck lock 3. Both vessel and lock sustained damage. No pollution and injuries reported.
On 09 July 2001, while berthing the bulk carrier "LAKE CHAMPLAIN" with tug assist at Richardson Elevator pier, Thunder Bay, the vessel struck the unprotected corner of the pier at 1540. The stb side of the vessel sustained some sheer plate damage.
On departing Montreal, vessel's engine failed to go astern. Vessel may have fouled buoy M-156. The engine failure and touching the buoy was later denied by the Master.
Vessel contacted concrete wall while entering lock.
