Compliance
On 06 June 2021, the bulk carrier "STAR CARIOCA" reported being disabled and drifting due to an engine problem, approximately 30 nautical miles SW of Bamfield, Vancouver Island, BC. The crew members subsequently carried out repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage.
On 11 October 2017, the bulk carrier "SBI CARIOCA", with 24 people on board, reported running aground while approaching the breakwater in the port of Belledune, NB in the Baie des Chaleurs. The vessel was refloated on the next high tide with the assistance of 2 tugs. No damage, pollution or injuries.
