On 16 October 2016, the general cargo "AVATAQ" reported that one crew member sustained a bone facture while working on the vessel's work barge at Kangiqsualujjaq, QC.
On 15 June 2014, the M/V "AVATAQ" was involved in an allusion. The vessel struck the wall inside upper Beauharnois lock in Beauharnois, QC. Minor damages reported to the vessel.
On 08 September 2013, the "AVATAQ" sustained a black out while changing over diesel alternators, on the St. Lawrence River off Pointe à Boivert, Quebec. Power/propulsion were regained a few minutes later. No damage, injuries, or pollution reported.
On 28 October 2012, the cargo vessel "AVATAQ" lost 4 drums of dangerous good Class 8, UN 1830, in Baie Deception, Quebec, while transferring cargo onto a barge. The drums sunk and have not been recuperated.
