On 27 December 2025, the bulk carrier "JESSICA B" reported that its port windlass was not functioning and the brake on its starboard windlass had failed while the vessel was attempting to anchor off Pointe au Foin, QC. The vessel proceeded to Montreal, QC, for repairs and then resumed its voyage.
On 03 July 2024, the bulk carrier "JESSICA B", while under the conduct of a pilot, reported having sustained a total failure of its power supply system, causing a loss of propulsion, in Le Grand Chenal, QC. The vessel was anchored off Pointe-aux-Trembles, QC and the crew assessed the issue.
On 24 August 2023, the bulk carrier "JESSICA B", while under the conduct of a pilot, reported having sustained a total failure of its propulsion system upon departure from Valleyfield, QC. The pilot anchored, the engines were restarted and the vessel proceeded to the lock wall in Beauharnois, QC to be inspected.
On 09 September 2010, while departing Export Dock, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, the bulk carrier "POCHARD" ran aground in soft mud. Reportedly the water level was dropping at the time of the grounding.
The downbound vessel "POCHARD" experienced engine problems while entering lock 3 at Beauharnois. Similar problems occurred at Eisenhower lock.
