On 05 January 2026, the ferry "CONFEDERATION" reported its keel cooler was damaged while being escorted by the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "ANN HARVEY" in the ice covered waters of Charlottetown Harbour, PE. The vessel proceeded to the wharf for repairs.
On 15 September 2024, the roll-on/roll-off passenger ferry "CONFEDERATION," with 158 people on board, struck the dock while approaching Wood Islands, PE. It was found that the propulsion system on the end closest to the dock was declutched. The strike damaged the Wood Islands bow. The vessel offloaded from the undamaged end. No injuries or pollution were reported.
On 04 September 2022, the passenger and vehicle ferry "CONFEDERATION", with 217 passengers on board, sustained a rudder failure and grounded while leaving Caribou, NS. The vessel refloated and, with the assistance of the Canadian Coast Guard Cutter "CAPE SPRY", returned to the dock in Caribou.
On 19 June 2022, the ro-ro ferry "CONFEDERATION" reported one of its passengers as having sustained a minor injury while in Caribou Channel off Caribou, NS. Nearby passengers tended to the injured individual until an ambulance met the ferry at the dock in Wood Islands, PE.
On 25 May 2021, the ferry "CONFEDERATION", with 27 people on board, reported making bottom contact while leaving the ferry terminal in Wood Island, PE. No apparent damage, injuries or pollution was reported as a result of the occurrence.
On 25 October 2018, the ferry "CONFEDERATION", with 111 people on board, made contact with the bottom while approaching Wood Islands, PE. There was no apparent damage, no injuries nor pollutants released as a result of this contact.
On 06 July 2018, the ferry "CONFEDERATION", with 365 people on board, struck the wharf while coming alongside in high winds at Wood Islands, PE. Minor damage was reported to the vessel and to a dock fender.
