On 12 September 2025, the Canadian Coast Guard research vessel "CAPT JACQUES CARTIER", with 35 people on board, reported taking on water while transiting the Détroit d'Honguedo off Pointe-Sud-Ouest, QC. The water was entering the net stowage compartment through a hole found in the wave gate trunk. The vessel proceeded to Gaspé, QC, for the crew to assess the damage and perform repairs.
