On 11 October 2020, the chemical products tanker "BRO ALMA", under the conduct of a pilot, reported a problem with the vessel's steering gear off Cap-aux-Oies, QC. The pilot later reported that the problem had been caused by human error and the vessel was authorized to continue its voyage.
On 30 May 2009, while upbound the St. Lawrence River, the tanker "BRO ALMA" experienced steering gear problems.
