Meaning

Definition

The Maritime Labour Convention, adopted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2006, which sets out seafarers' rights to decent conditions of work across a wide range of subjects. The MLC covers minimum age, employment agreements, working hours, wages, repatriation, accommodation, recreation, food, and health protection.
