On 18 March 2022, the passenger vessel "RD EXPRESS", while under the conduct of a pilot, reported having sustained a machinery failure involving one of its engines while transiting the St. Lawrence River off Saint-Laurent-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, QC. The vessel was able to proceed to the Quebec harbour where the crew effected repairs.
