On 28 October 2025, the passenger vessel "PEARL MIST", while under the conduct of a pilot and assisted by a tug for berthing, reported a total failure of its bow thruster and struck berth No. 23 in Halifax, NS. Minor damages to the vessel's hull were reported.
On 13 July 2016, the passenger vessel "PEARL MIST" reported a seriously injured crew member while transiting the Welland Canal off St. Catharines, ON. The vessel moored at Lock #2 and the casualty was evacuated by ambulance to the local hospital.
