On 25 May 2014, the ferry "NORTH ISLAND PRINCESS" sustained a complete loss of propulsion and began drifting towards the breakwater, while approaching Westview Terminal, Powell River, BC. An anchor was deployed, the main engines were restarted and the vessel resumed its service.
