On 15 July 2022, the passenger vessel "WESTERDAM" reported its portside azipod as out of service while out to sea off Hippa Island, BC. The vessel continued its voyage to Victoria, BC with the use of its starboard azipod.
On 22 September 2019, the passenger vessel "WESTERDAM" reported a power failure while moored at Vancouver, BC. The crew restored the power.
While manoevring alongside her berth, assisted by two tugs, the "WESTERDAM" experienced a strong S.W. gust causing her to contact the cruise ship "MERCURY" berthed alongside at Ogden Point, Victoria Harbour. Both v/ls had superficial damage.
Cruise ship reported a crewmember overboard. Body recovered by SAR Hovercraft 039. Suspected suicide.
Damaged electrical light fixture caused food boxes to ignite and a small smouldering fire developed. Fire extinguished by crew, negligible damage, vessel continued on voyage.
