Overview
Eagle S was a crude oil and oil products tanker that sailed under the flag of the Cook Islands. It is the only ship operated by Caravella LLC-FZ, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. It was originally built in China for the Singapore company FR8 Holdings PTE Ltd in 2006, which operated it under the name FR8 Pride. Later the ship has also served under the names LR Mimosa and Norstar Intrepid.
Intelligence
How a hull like this loses value with age (today's market). The dot marks this ship at 20 yrs.
Estimate from $/dwt of similar-size, similar-age ships sold in the last 24 months. Indicative, not a certified valuation.
Open the full multi-model valuationThis ship has no verified emissions report. We estimate a band D from its segment, size and age (45% confidence).
Estimate, not a reported figure. Within one band 95% of the time on reported peers.
Compliance
On 20 September 2007, a crack on the side shell, in way of port side ballast tank no.1, had been found on the double-hulled tanker FR8 PRIDE.
Recorded marine occurrences naming this vessel.
Cargo pumproom; Fire fighting equipment and appliances; Radar; ISM
Fixed fire extinguishing
Port-State-Control detentions.
Composite Risk
Strong, corroborated adverse evidence — a detention, sanctions exposure or an AIS-gap / behavioural signal.
A coverage-weighted blend of the 5 components we could read for this hull — the weights renormalise over only the components present, so a thin read is never inflated and a hull is never credited a “safe 0” for a signal it has no row for. Higher means riskier. Derived in-house from government-open port-State-control, flag, sanctions and our own vessel data; weight it by the coverage above.
This vessel is directly sanctioned.
Screened against official OFAC, EU, UN and UK designations (In-house derivation over the OpenSanctions publishable subset, GLEIF LEI (CC0) and our own vessel/owner master. No new external source fetched.). An automated exposure signal for review, not a legal determination.
Estimated
Tanker · summer draught 12.6 m · 72.1 t per cm immersion
Estimate only — modelled from deadweight (deadweight regression) using a first-principles hydrostatic model, not measured hydrostatic tables. The design draught it is anchored to is unreliable across the fleet.
density DWT/GT=1.76 is consistent with declared tanker
Declared type is consistent with the class implied by the vessel’s size signals. Inferred via our shared size-based classifier.
Transparency
Behavioural flags raised against this vessel — each shown with the raw evidence behind it. Derived in-house from data we are entitled to publish; informational, not a determination of wrongdoing.
Stopped transmitting relative to the live feed front
Method: vessel is on a sanctions list but has never appeared on our live AIS feed. Source: ais_positions (absence) + sanctioned_vessels.
Ageing vessel under a sanctioned or sanctions-exposed owner
Method: vessel age >= threshold AND owner is a sanctioned entity and/or operates sanctioned tonnage. Source: vessels (year_built/owner) + sanctioned_orgs + sanctioned_vessels.
Signals are a current-state view: a flag clears once the vessel stops tripping its detector. These are screening indicators, not a substitute for your own due diligence.
