On 18 October 2018, the Canadian Coast Guard ship "EDWARD CORNWALLIS", while non-operational and secured at berth 35 in St. John's Harbour, was struck by the fishing vessel "ANNE RISLEY". The "ANNE RISLEY" was approaching the nearby dry dock when the striking occurred. There were no injuries or pollution reported. The only damage reported was a paint scrape on the superstructure of the "EDWARD CORNWALLIS".
