
Overview
CCGS A. LeBlanc is the seventh of nine Hero-class patrol vessels operated by the Canadian Coast Guard. The ship entered service in 2014 and is based at Quebec City, Quebec. A. LeBlanc is tasked with enforcing Canadian maritime law within Canada's maritime borders.
Compliance
On 29 June 2026, the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "A. LEBLANC", with 11 people on board, reported striking a partially submerged object floating in the water while patrolling near Rivière-au-Tonnerre, QC. The vessel's crew conducted an inspection following the occurrence and assessed the extent of the damage.
On 16 June 2025, the Canadian Coast Guard Service Ship "A. LEBLANC", with 11 people on board, reported having collided with a submerged wooden log 22 nautical miles east off the Rivière Moisie, QC while transiting towards Sept-Îles, QC. The crew found no damages and there was no water ingress.
On 31 May 2024, the unoccupied Canadian Coast Guard workboat "C23572QC" was reported having capsized while being recovered by the Canadian Coast Guard Ship "A. LEBLANC" in the Gulf of St. Lawrence off Grande-Entrée, QC. The workboat was recovered and the "A. LEBLANC" proceeded to Cap-aux-Meules, QC for a damage assessment of its workboat.
On 06 December 2021, the Canadian Coast Guard patrol vessel "A. LEBLANC", with 5 people on board, reported having collided with an unknown object while transiting the St. Lawrence River off Cap-Rouge, QC. The vessel sustained minor damage.
On 07 May 2019, the Canadian Coast Guard vessel "A. LEBLANC", with 11 people on board, struck the dock while leaving Havre-Saint-Pierre, QC. No pollution or injuries were reported.
On 27 April 2018, the Canadian Coast Guard service ship "A. LEBLANC" reported an engine failure in the St-Lawrence River off Mont-Louis, QC. The vessel proceeded to Gaspe, QC for repairs.
On 09 September 2017, the Canadian Coast Guard service ship "A. LEBLANC" reported minor water ingress due to a leak of its port main engine's cooling system pipe, south of Anticosti Island, QC.
On 10 May 2014, the CCG "AGAPIT LEBLANC" reported a transmission failure on the starboard main engine, 38 nm SE of Gaspé, QC. The vessel proceeded to port to make repairs.
