On 23 May 2015, the cargo vessel "AMELIA DESGAGNES" reported a main engine exhaust leak into the engine room and had to anchor for repair.
On 05 September 2013, while securing the "AMELIA DESGAGNES" at Baie Comeau, Quebec, the second officer fell from the ship onto the wharf and was evacuated by ambulance to the hospital. No damage and no other injuries reported.
On 15 May 2009, bulk carrier "AMELIA DESGAGNES" reported aground 300 feet from the wharf in Pugwash Harbour, N.S. Vessel later refloated and proceeded to Rimouski, Quebec.
On 16 December 2007 in the port of Toledo, Ohio, a crew member on board the "AMELIA DESGAGNES" broke his arm.
On 02 August, 2007, M/V AMELIA DESGAGNES reported that it grounded on a rock while approaching the dock in Charlottetown, Bonnavista Bay, NL. Vessel is presently secured in Catalina for inspection.
The M/V "AMELIA DESGAGNES" was reported to have run aground in St. Barbe Bay. Vessel subsequently freed itself and continued on to St. Barbe. No damage to vessel. No release of pollutants.
While coming alongside, ship dropped anchor and subsequently ran over it holing #2 stbd double bottom ballast tank. Ballast pump able to control ingress of water.
On 29 Nov 2001, while clearing Lock 8, Welland Canal, "AMELIA DESGAGNES", while attempting to avoid a winter de-watering gate (20'x40'), which came loose, struck the lock& apprch wall with her port side. Damaged 2m above waterline .
